We take this opportunity to once again farewell a committed and hardworking RSL member, Gordon Curtis. While not from the VHRSL, this gentleman played a very important part for us during our AGM's, and for always helping out the committee with much needed answers to our questions. Gordon first joined the Morphett Vale RSL in 2011 and was soon elected as the Secretary. He stayed in that position until late December 2019, and in that time was involved with Rod Murray and others in re writing the constitution and by-laws. Gordon was also a member of the Ethics Committee and was a member of the State Tribunal. When Gordon was at Morphett Vale he was also a coordinator of the ANZAC Dawn service and for 9 years saw the attendance for this event rise from 7,000 to 17,000 until he resigned from his position in December 2019. He relocated to the Fleurieu Peninsula with his lovely wife Di, and in 2021 he joined the Port Elliot RSL. He was then invited to be a part of the Committee, and was then elected as Treasurer. We extent our thanks to his family for their support whilst he was an RSL Member. Now it is time to bid him a fond farewell and wish him all the very best. Thank you for all the help and assistance Gordon, but especially for your friendship. You will be missed.
